PETTIT Group add Civil Engineering professor to the Team

Pettit Group are delighted to announce that Professor Denis Chamberlain has joined our company to assist delivery of Pettit Group’s Contracting and Professional Services divisions- PETTIT Contracting Services and PETTIT Construction Management. Denis is an impressively qualified Civil Engineer, a discipline he is a professor of, who has lectured to the next generation of Civil Engineers in his role at Brunel University, whilst working on various multi-million pound projects for TfL, Network Rail, National Grid in over 45 years in the Civil Engineering and Construction industry.

Denis and our Group Managing Director- Simon Pettit, first worked together in 2007 for Balfour Beatty Management on the Kings Cross Modernisation Project. Denis completed water ingress reports to allow Simon Pettit- then a young assistant Quantity Surveyor with Balfour Beatty Management, to tender water ingress remediation work packages on the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Northern Lines in the Metronet days.

Denis is a very welcome addition to the team that further reinforces the group’s long term ambition to be the go-to group for Civil Engineering subcontracting, professional services, training and recruitment in the south-east over the next decade. PETTIT Contracting Services under the guidance of Denis, is currently working towards ISO’s and will be Achilles UVDB approved for contracting works in the coming weeks and Denis is also assisting PETTIT Recruitment Solutions with development of their Civil Engineering training and apprenticeship scheme ‘The Great Kentish Upskill’ which will be delivered from September 2018.
